Course Description

Military families are as diverse as non-military families but also go through a unique set of circumstances and experiences.  This training will prepare home visitors with the knowledge and understanding to maximize services for military families. (MOD220) (June 2020)

Course Objectives: 

  • Understand US military structure and culture as it pertains to families with young children
  • Describe the unique stressors that military families experience
  • Identify strategies home visitors can use to address these unique circumstances
  • Recognize resources available to military families experiencing difficulties in a variety of areas

As the Instructional Design and Technology Specialist/Application Systems Analyst, Sr for the Arkansas Home Visiting Network Training Institute Mona develops technology-based instructional and informational materials and interventions applying adult learning principles. In addition to producing online content, Mona also manages the LMS, Thinkific, for our learners as well as provide reporting for continuing education credits. Other duties include website maintenance, graphic design, virtual training producing, and event planning.
