Please read the information below to help with any issues you may be having with the AHVN Training Institute's Online Training PDR credit posting to your transcript.

As of July 1, 2021 we will no longer have access to the Blackboard OpenEducation website. We have downloaded as much data as possible from the website; however, after June 30, 2021 you will no longer be able to print certificates earned prior to April 30, 2021.
If you completed an online course after April 30, 2021 you would have completed it on this Thinkific website and you should be able to log in and print your certificate.

Please read the information below regarding why the PDR datatbase is not correctly reflecting your Course Completion date on your transcript
Your issue: Your PDR Online Course Completion credit is not showing up for THIS year.
AHVN Training Institute response: We processed your PDR request(s) and you have completed your PDR course evaluation(s)BUT even still the credits are not showing up for this year.
Unfortunately, your issue is with the PDR database itself and how it has been programmed. Read more below to understand how the database is not set up to look at your course completion date when it updates your transcript. Please note: the AHVN Training Institute Staff has contacted the PDR database administration about this issue; however, we have not been given an estimated date for this issue to be corrected (or even if they are considering correcting this issue at all).
The PDR credit date is a known issue. And you are absolutely correct- Our online courses you completed are listed in the PDR database to run until December 31, 2025, yet PDR only grants credit on the exact date the course was approved to be listed in the PDR database (which could be 2019 or 2018 depending on the course).
The AHVN Training Institute Team just moved ALL of our online training courses into a new Learning Management Website (Thinkific-this website) and relisted all of our online training courses in PDR for May 2021 completions moving forward. This refreshed the start date for our courses which in turn gives a "2021" course credit date on transcripts moving forward. This will help for a few months, but soon we will be back into an outdated situation especially considering the different fiscal and calendar years for the many different professionals who complete our online courses.
As of June 4, 2021:
To semi-resolve your current issue, our recommendation is to print the Certificate(s) of Completion from the online Blackboard OpenEducation Course and place it/them in your employee file. Each certificate shows the date that you completed ALL of the steps required to pass the online course. Please note that you will NOT be able to print your Blackboard Certificate after June 30, 2021.
You can print certificate(s) (or may already have printed these) from Blackboard OpenEducation with the accurate date(s) by completing steps below. (Also see screenshots below for additional assistance) *NOTE- you MUST print your Blackboard Certificates PRIOR to June 30, 2021 as we will not have access to them after that date. Blackboard is shutting their OpenEducation Platform down on July 1, 2021.
- Before June 30, 2021, you will need to log into Blackboard OpenEnducation to do this. Click on this link to go to Blackboard OpenEducation (after June 30, 2021 you will no longer have access to this link): https://openeducation.blackboard.com/site/ahvntraininginstitute
- If you do not know your username or password, you click on this link to submit a request to reset the password: https://openeducation.blackboard.com/webapps/blackboard/password
- Once you are in the course under your login, look at the menu on the left and look for Achievements/Certificate. (See screenshots below)
- Click on Achievements/Certificate link
- In the course(s) that you have completed all of the steps required to earned the certificate- you'll see your certificate and you can click on the little printer icon and print it. This certificate will have the date you first earned the credit. (See screenshots below)
In the past few months, the AHVN Training Institute staff has also reviewed our side of this process and added another way to possibly help: when our staff processes your PDR requests- an email is sent to you to use as a third version of a certificate of course completion with the correct completion date in an effort to patch this issue until PDR can fix their system to reflect the date we post the PDR credit (instead of the date the online training was approved). We are told for our home visiting staff that they can staple this email to their Blackboard and PDR certificates and place all 3 certificates in their employee file. That is all we can do on our end for the time being.
