This document provides you with the questions you will need to answer to submit your Workshop Proposal via a digital form at this link: see link at bottom of this screen (after you read all of the information about submitting a conference workshop proposal)
This year’s AHNV Annual Conference is scheduled for November 10-11, 2026 in Hot Springs, Arkansas (In-Person).
We are providing the questions here in this document so that you may gather your information before visiting the digital for webpage to submit your proposal. The digital form is designed to be completed in one sitting therefore please do not start and return at a later date to complete as your previous work will not be saved.
The Annual Arkansas Home Visiting Network Conference provides training opportunities for those working in home visiting programs throughout the state of Arkansas. Participating home visiting programs include, but are not to be limited to Arkansas Early Head Start Home Visiting, Following Baby Back Home (FBBH), Healthy Families America (HFA), Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), Parents as Teachers (PAT), and SafeCare Arkansas. These programs promote high quality and evidenced-based home visiting services to Arkansas’ families during pregnancy and until children enter kindergarten. They strive to build stronger families and brighter futures for the children of Arkansas by improving school readiness, increasing positive health outcomes and decreasing child maltreatment.

WORKSHOP PROPOSALS SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
WORKSHOP LENGTH:
Workshops should be designed to be 60 minutes long.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Workshops should target home visiting program staff who serve families during pregnancy and until children enter kindergarten. This includes home-based educators, home visitors, parent educators, providers, and supervisors/coordinators.
FOCUS:
Workshops should focus on topics that would fall under one or more of the following categories identified as the Core Competencies for the Arkansas Home Visiting Network:
- Child Development
- Dynamics of Family Relationships
- Diversity in Family Systems
- Parental Guidance and Nurturing
- Health and Safety
- Parental Well-Being and Stability
- Relationships Among Family, School and Community
- Methods and Approaches to Working with Parents
- Professional Growth and Leadership
